Wholesome Ingredients at Wholesale Prices – Thrive Market

Home/healthy eating/Wholesome Ingredients at Wholesale Prices – Thrive Market

At some point, each and every one of us knows that Costco member who takes you into their house and boasts about the great buys they got in bulk.  Mine was a guy I dated in the summer of 2009 and it was THIS statement that made me run for the hills:

“Lookee here, I got an ENTIRE CASE OF HOT DOGS!  Look how CHEAP they were!”

I could NOT date a man a) who didn’t know how bad hot dogs were for your body and b) who actually was going to CONSUME that many hot dogs, not getting that sometimes MORE of something isn’t necessarily a good thing and c) who sounded like Foghorn Leghorn by starting a sentence with “Lookee here.”

Don’t get me wrong, I like Costco, and they DO have healthy choices like fruit and veggies there, but not as many healthy options as that OTHER store I like called Whole Foods Market, and the last time I checked, WFM doesn’t offer a discount program and I’ll be DAMNED if I’m paying 8 dollars for a box of pasta or $10 bucks for a can of tuna.

So, wouldn’t it be nice if there was Costco-type membership for HEALTHY food?  Wholesome ingredients at wholesale prices, not your WHOLE paycheck?  Well, there is!  It’s called THRIVE MARKET.  And it’s online, so you can get all your favorite items you usually get at Whole Foods delivered right to your door.

Here’s how it works:

~ You just sign up for free and get 15% off your first purchase!  Yippee!

~ Enjoy a one month free trial during which you can order from their entire catalog of 3,500+ healthy, natural products at 25 – 50% below retail prices. Your free trial starts with your first Thrive purchase and will last a full month with full membership benefits. If at any point during that time, you decide you don’t want to be a Thrive member, you can cancel and they won’t charge your card.

~ Love it? Membership runs about $5 a month ($59.95/year) and for every paid membership, Thrive Market provides one at no cost to a low-income family, which is nice.

~ Shipping is free on all orders over $49.  EVEN BETTER!  Orders are shipped in 24 to 72 hours.

How ’bout the savings?  At average discounts of 35% to retail, with just $110 worth of purchases on Thrive Market, you will have made back your initial membership fee. That means that if you’re an average American family of four, buying just 25% of your monthly groceries at Thrive Market will pay back your membership fee in under one month. Just as importantly, your paid membership will sponsor a free annual membership for a low-income family. That’s free access for an entire year to healthy, wholesome products at prices lower than their highly-processed, unhealthy alternatives.

Shop by gluten-free, paleo, raw, vegan, mom or staples categories and shop by holiday, too!  You can search for products as well.  I checked – they don’t sell hotdogs, but lots of name brands you see at Sprouts, Trader Joes and Whole Foods – even health and beauty and pet items as well.

Sign up today for free and you can load up your pantry will stuff you are already buying, and save a stack of cash at the same time.  DOH, not for Hawaii or Puerto Rico yet but coming soon.

~Here’s to THRIVING every day,
