Spray on tanner (non-toxic) and bronzer are good for getting a glow, but what you reeaaally want is a “lit from within” glow…not only for this summer…but all year round!  Read on for a few ideas that will help you to look and feel radiant:

1 – Cultivate The Self Confidence To Wear Clothing You Love

First of all, wearing clothing you love helps you to feel good. Sometimes, women avoid wearing the pieces they love alltogether because they’re not confident with their body.  Or they think they are too old for a short skirt.  If it feels good, do it!  It’s time to start working on that self confidence so you can wear whatever you like with pride! Take baby steps out of your comfort zone.

Some women spend their lives wearing clothes to cover up, only to get to a certain age and realize they should have been wearing what they wanted to wear all along! So get out the good stuff that’s collecting dust in your closet – the clothes that are really YOU and express yourself.

When you feel good in the clothing you wear, it’ll show on your face and even in the way you move!

2 -Treat Yourself

Sometimes, girl, a mani and pedi are “essential” services!  Don’t be afraid to treat yourself – go and have your nails done, get a massage, or do something else that makes you feel your best. It doesn’t have to be ‘unnecessary’ purchases, either. If you’re overdue a dental appointment, book one today and get your preventative dental care. You’ll brighten your smile and ensure you’re free from tooth pain and other health issues.

3 – Stay Hydrated

Radiant skin requires hydration. Stay hydrated by drinking a minimum of 2-3 liters of water per day. I carry my crystal water bottle filled with water wherever I go. TIP:  Make your own structured water by THANKING it before you drink it.  It makes the water smoother and better tasting!

4 – Protect Your Skin From The Sun

It goes without saying that a little sun is good for you, but you still need to apply a high quality SPF to both your face and body every day for long-time sun exposure. Make sure you’re spending time on the rest of your skincare, too – you’ll want to cleanse, tone, and moisturize and then apply your SPF on top of this.

One of the biggest causes of premature aging is damage from the sun, so applying SPF should be viewed as preventative care. Don’t worry if you haven’t been doing this – it’s never too late to start.  Make sure you pick a good sunscreen.

5 – Bring On The Oil

Oil is the ideal medium for making your skin glowing and hydrated. Whenever you shower or bathe, slather yourself in oil. Jojoba oil is a great light oil, but you can also use moringa oils. There are some body oils out there already formulated for certain skin concerns, so look to those if you have dry skin or other concerns. Certain properties in oil can also be fantastic for smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles.

6 – Go Within

Angry people sparkle less than happy people.  You’ve go to go within and do some work on yourself.  Forgive people who have effed you over, focus on gratitude and joy and love yourself more.  After all, holistic anti-aging is not about the body, it’s also about the mind and spirit!  Think positive thoughts and make sure you nurture your spirit by doing things you love.  I recommend Reiki, meditation and my youth affirmations.

7 – Take The Right Supplements

Certain supplements could help you to feel great and look great. B12 (and a plant based diet) helps with energy, and 5-HTP is said to help with depression and anxiety (take this at night).  Black cumin oil does wonders for your immune system. Find the right supplements for YOU.  This, along with a healthy diet, and plenty of restful sleep will help you to feel and look great and that is what being radiant from within is really about!
